Now obviously most people who have hair anything like mine at some point or another have used GHD’s. I am no different and am a proud owner of the mk 4 (i think) and although I love then for giving me straight locks which last longer than the journey to work, I have to say it’s not all good news.
Maybe it’s just me, but I was so over excited to be able to have straight hair that I used them every day – twice if I was going out – and now, I can’t get my hair to go curly for the life of me!
I never had what you would call well shaped curls but it was curly none the less, even if there was a ridiculous amount of frizz. But now, the roots go really curly, but the ends of my hair are so limp and fluffy, I look as though i’m trying for a really dodgy afro and, get this; the only way I can get curly hair now is to curl it with my GHD’s!! It’s like i’ve completely reversed my lifelong problem – I always wanted it straight, now I want it curly again. It’s true what they say: The grass IS always greener on the other side!
